Berta was raised in Falfurrias, TX before moving to Dallas to begin her career in the securities industry. Her first opportunity was way back in 1984 with Dain Rauscher Securities where she had multiple roles. In 1998 she was approached by a friend who was working at Hodges Capital for the late Don Hodges. She was hired on a part-time basis but moved quickly into a full-time role.
She has had many responsibilities in her career, and currently her role involves establishing new client accounts, reconciliation, trade reporting, and billing. Her decades of experience make her a highly knowledgeable and important employee.
Outside of work she is referred to as Auntie B by her two great nieces. She dotes on them and enjoys all their activities and excursions.
