Ben Jones is Chief Commercial Officer at Hodges Capital Management, where he leads products, marketing, and distribution. His career has centered on connecting strategy with execution: setting a clear commercial direction, then building the teams, operations, and governance that turn it into durable growth.
Before Hodges, Ben was Managing Director, Distribution for the Americas at Magellan Financial Group, leading North American distribution across institutional and wealth markets. He also served as Interim Chief Compliance Officer of Magellan Asset Management Limited and as an officer and Secretary of the MFG Funds.
Previously, he was Head of U.S. Intermediary Distribution at BMO Global Asset Management and President and Chief Operating Officer of BMO Investment Distributors. He was responsible for both the commercial strategy and the operating platform behind it across advisors, strategic partners, and sub-advised relationships. Earlier, he was Director of Defined Contribution at Russell Investments, where he received the Russell Award for Excellence, and a partner at Strategic Employee Benefits.
Ben created and co-hosted the award-winning Better Conversations. Better Outcomes. podcast and has written for Institutional Investor and Financial Planning. He holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS) designation from the College for Financial Planning.
Ben has ridden the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route from Banff to the Mexican border. He skis, mountain bikes, and keeps a small hobby farm in the mountains of Utah, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
